What is Civly?+
Civly is an AI-powered co-parenting communication platform. It rewrites angry messages into calm, court-safe versions using the BIFF method. Plus shared custody calendar, expense tracking, and court-ready records.
How much does it cost?+
$59 per year. No monthly option. No hidden fees. 30-day money-back guarantee — email hello@civly.co for a full refund.
Is Civly court-approved?+
Civly creates timestamped, SHA-256 hashed communication records that comply with Federal Rules of Evidence 803(6) and 902(13). These records are designed to be admissible in court proceedings in every US state.
How does the AI rewrite work?+
When you type a message, Civly's AI analyzes it for conflict triggers (insults, threats, blame, ALL CAPS, etc.) and rewrites it using the BIFF method — Brief, Informative, Firm, Friendly. You see both versions side-by-side and choose which to send. Your original vent stays 100% private.
Can my co-parent see my private vents?+
Never. Your raw, unfiltered words are encrypted and visible only to you. You can share them with your own attorney if needed, but they are never shown to your co-parent, their attorney, or the court.
How do I set up my custody schedule?+
Go to Calendar and click 'Set up your custody schedule.' You can paint your two-week pattern day by day, use a preset (week on/off, 2-2-3, 5-2-2-5, etc.), or upload your permanent orders and let AI extract the schedule.
Can I connect my kids' sports calendars?+
Yes. Civly syncs with TeamSnap, BAND, PlayMetrics, MOJO, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar via iCal. Just paste the subscription link and events auto-populate on your calendar.
Can my attorney see my records?+
Yes. Attorneys get a free professional portal where they can view their clients' communication records, export certified PDFs, and track conflict patterns. Register at civly.co/professional/register.
Can grandparents or nannies see the calendar?+
Yes. You can share a read-only calendar link with anyone. They see custody days, holidays, and kids' activities — nothing else. No login required.
How do expenses work?+
Upload a receipt photo, forward an email to your unique Civly address, or enter manually. AI extracts the details. Set the split (50/50, 60/40, etc.). Your co-parent approves, disputes, or pays. Everything is documented.
What if my co-parent won't sign up?+
Civly works even without your co-parent. You can use the custody calendar, expense tracking, journal, and attorney Q&A on your own. When they're ready to join, send them an invite link.
Is this legal advice?+
No. Civly provides general family law information for educational purposes only. Always consult a licensed attorney for advice specific to your situation.
How do I cancel?+
Email hello@civly.co. If you cancel within 30 days of signup, you get a full refund — no questions asked. After 30 days, your subscription continues until the end of the current year.
Can I switch from OurFamilyWizard?+
Yes. Ask your attorney to update the court order to say 'Civly or equivalent court-approved communication platform.' We provide template language at civly.co/attorneys/court-order.
