Civly provides general family law information, communication tools, and co-parenting resources for educational and organizational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice. Civly does not create an attorney-client relationship. The Attorney Q&A feature provides general information based on publicly available legal principles and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney. Every family law situation is unique. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for advice specific to your case.

2. Court-Admissible Records

Civly creates timestamped, immutable records of communications between co-parents. While these records are designed to be admissible in court proceedings, Civly makes no guarantees about admissibility in any specific jurisdiction or proceeding. The admissibility of any evidence is determined by the presiding judge.

3. Privacy & Data Security

Your private vents are never shared with your co-parent, their attorney, or the court. Only the court-safe version of messages (the version you approve and send) is visible to your co-parent. Private vents are stored encrypted and are accessible only to you and, at your discretion, your own attorney.

We use industry-standard encryption (256-bit TLS) for all data in transit and at rest. Your data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase/AWS) in the United States.

4. AI-Powered Features

Civly uses artificial intelligence to rewrite messages (BIFF method), extract information from documents, analyze communication tone, and provide general legal information. AI outputs should be reviewed by the user before sending or relying upon them. Civly is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.

5. Subscription & Billing

Civly costs $59 per year, billed annually. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee -- email hello@civly.co within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Data Ownership

You own your data. You can export your complete communication history, expense records, and calendar data at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted unless you request an export.

7. Limitation of Liability

Civly is a communication and organizational tool. We are not responsible for the outcomes of any legal proceedings, custody determinations, or co-parenting disputes. Use of Civly does not guarantee any particular legal outcome. Civly, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this platform.
